So, I've been bugging Jared to build me a few racks to take with me to all the fairs & shows I'm in this season & here's one he finished for me last night! I'll have 2 "floor" ones (like this) and 3 tabletop ones ;) I'm planning on having something with my logo on it to put on the top~not sure exactly what yet!!

I also went shopping in my basement for other creative/different ways to display all my accessories! I'm always looking at yard sales, Goodwill & Salvation Army for plate racks, big bowls.....those sorts of things, for my smaller items! Plus, it's soooo fun getting a great deal on a unique display! Here's one~

It was a plate rack, but now it's showing off my zippered pouches & some list takers! I also have a HUGE Margarita glass that has Mini Key Fobs in it ;)

Well, I've taken a long enough break from sewing!! So, since you're all up to date on what's going on here, I'm headed back to my sewing machine!!

As you can see in the picture, there's a little hidden pocket on the outside (where the pen is sticking out), perfect for dropping your phone &/or camera into~for super quick & easy access~never miss a call, or that perfect picture again! ;) It goes the entire length of the sling, so there's quite a bit of room in there!

OK, so this is probably going to be a very long post!! But I just brainstormed (cause I couldn't sleep!) and I'm so excited!!!

Who wants to design their own PURSE?? Obviously, right? I mean, that's the whole point of the Open House!! BUT who ALSO wants to design their own SEA GLASS JEWELRY??!!! WAHOO!!!!! That's right!!!! Keep reading.......

DESIGN YOUR OWN PURSE :)

I'm kinda a self-proclaimed "fabric hog/hoarder".....You would not believe how much fabric I have!!! Under tables, in drawers, in closets.....and on SATURDAY, JUNE 6th, from 10am-1pm (or however long it takes!!)~it's ALL coming out!!!!! That's right ladies! So here's how it's gonna go down~

1~Pick your favorite fabric(s) (at which time, you should pick it up & carry it around~especially if there's only a little bit!!)

2~Pick your style (I will have samples of all the currently available styles to choose from!!)

3~Decide if you want any matching/coordinating accessories (I will also have samples of all of these!)

4~Find me & let's sit down & talk.....I want to make sure I know EXACTLY what you want!!

So that's how designing your purse is gonna work! There WILL be "cash & carry" (or check & carry!) purses/accessories available to purchase!

DESIGN YOUR OWN SEA GLASS JEWELRY :)

1~Pick your Sea Glass....that's right!!! I'll bring out TONS of jewelry quality, hand picked sea glass & you can pick the one you love!!

2~Pick a pearl (or bead, or silver charm.......)

3~Pick a bead (or silver charm, or pearl.....)

4~Put it in a baggie & hand it to me (with your name on it!!)

I will then make you your VERY OWN, CREATED BY YOU, Sea Glass Jewelry!!!!!!!!!

Each pendant will come on an 18" sterling silver chain, in a pretty little pouch. As described above, they will cost $28. each! So, each "necklace" will have 3 components: a piece of sea glass, a bead & a pearl (or charm, or any combo of these to equal 3)......

Sound confusing?? No worries!! I'll be here to help you every step of the way!! The beads will be out, so you can lay them out to help you visualize what you're creating! Or just tell me the colors you want & I'll make it all for you ;)

Hi all!! I'm thinking of doing an Open House, at my home, for you all to see the purses, in person!! You'll also have the opportunity to design your own!!! I'll have all my fabric swatches out (and there WILL be some limited one too!!) for you to choose from!!

So, I'm looking for feedback before I go crazy with the planning!!! Do weeknights work better, or would a Sat. am be best? Would you be more apt to "create your own" or purchase an already made purse??

OK~I need name suggestions for this one!! My bags are all named after (usually) little girls :) Some names we already have~Anna, Ellie, Lola, Molly, Sarah...... please don't be offended if I don't choose you're suggestion, this time!!! I may save it for another bag/purse!! :)

How awesome is this style though?? You can use it to organize a large bag, or just grab what you need, loop it through you belt loops, and it's like you're wearing a small purse all around your neck, but the strap won't bother you!! Stay tuned for more patterns/variations like this!!

........I bought this for the table part of it about 8 years ago at Goodwill for about $10!!!! When I got it home, I found the sewing machine part of it, but it looked old, heavy & out of date. Well, over the last few weeks I've been doing some research and found that it may be worth some tweeking!! It's a metal machine, with just a straight stitch option, but it seems really rugged!! So, I plugged it in & ............ the light came on!! WAHOO!!!! It does look like some work may need to be done on it, but WOW! I'll keep you all up to date!
